.....Pastor Linda Hanson began her interim ministry with St. Paul's UCC in August of 2009. After working as a physical therapist for over twenty years Pastor Linda began being called to ministry in the 1990s, and completed the CENTER-LEARN program for licensed ministers in 1999. Following this she served as facilitator for the Pilgrimage Retreat movement, a series of retreats sponsored by the Iowa Conference of the UCC to teach spiritual and prayer disciples. Pastor Linda also served as Minister of Music at Belmond UCC for over ten years. She graduated from United Theological Seminary in 2003 and then served along with her family as a missionary with Common Global Ministries in San Pedro Sula, Honduras, and Tegucigalpa, Honduras for five years where she taught theology, worked with children's nutrition programs and advocated for people living with disabilities.
.....Pastor Linda has been married to Bruce, her high school sweetheart, for over 32 years. They are the parents of Rachel, 29, Eric, 26, Joseph, 24, Seth, 15 and Kesia, 13 and grandparents of Adrienne, 5.
.... Pastor Linda is delighted to be serving as pastor at St. Paul's UCC. She loves to teach, enjoys children and youth, and likes to worship creatively while honoring meaningful traditions.
