Rev. Mary Beth Mardis-LeCroy is a Presbyterian pastor. In addition to her work at St. Paul’s, Mary Beth serves as the music director for the Saturday night service at Plymouth Church in Des Moines. Mary Beth has recently served as a chaplain with Hospice of Central Iowa, and before that, as an associate pastor at Westminster Presbyterian Church in Des Moines. Mary Beth grew up mostly in South Carolina, but went to school in the Northeast. She attended Princeton Theological Seminary, and upon her graduation in 2005, she and her husband, Matt, moved to Des Moines. Neither of them native mid-westerners, Mary Beth and Matt love living in Iowa. They have a 7-month old daughter, Ellie, and a cat, Hildegard, who bosses them around. Mary Beth enjoys spending time with her family, music (especially folk and bluegrass), walking or jogging, and eating the delicious food that her husband makes.
